Meet Ruairi: Our Clerkenwell Membership Assistant

Our Membership Manager’s and Assistants are at the very heart of what we do here at Work.Life – doing everything from keeping the spaces running smoothly to helping our members make the most of every day. With our latest co-working space opening in Clerkenwell in the not-to-distant future, we’d like to introduce you today to one of the newest members of the Work.Life family, Ruairi!

Hello, I’m Ruairi. I recently joined Work.Life as the Membership Assistant for our fabulous new Clerkenwell space.

As the builders continue to working their magic, I’ve had the pleasure of floating between Work.Life sites, picking up golden nuggets of knowledge from our current spaces, and also getting the chance to meet a bunch of our awesome members.

Having worked in hospitality most of my career, this new role at Work.Life is right up my alley. It has been great getting to know the members across our different sites, seeing how each space has a different vibe and energy, but is still recognisable as part of the same family, almost like siblings!

I’m really looking forward to settling in Clerkenwell. The area around the office has such a lovely village vibe, as well as loads of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

When not jumping between the various Work.Life sites, I also perform Improvised Comedy with the team Electric Priests alongside Work.Life’s own Clemence Billoud, as well as running improv workshops. I’m really excited to say that Clemence and I will be running these out of our Camden space going forward. It’s going to be great to get all of the Work.Life members involved, out of their comfort zones, and into some improv!

Although I’m sure it has been said many times before, it’s the sense of community and friendly energy that drew me to Work.Life. It’s an investment made equally between the staff and the members which pays off across the board, and has made me feel so welcome when I started covering events and weekends, to now working full-time with the company.

I’m excited to start using the many perks of being part of Work.Life: especially yoga, film screenings and networking evenings. The ones I’ve attended/worked at so far have been a hoot, so will be great to be part of the community across all the sites.
