Once approved, your address is active. We'll notify you when mail arrives and make it available through our mail scanning service if you selected this. Next time you visit, enjoy the space and use your credits towards a day pass or meeting room.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this address for Companies House?

Yes. Our addresses can be used as your registered office address and director’s service address, subject to successful completion of our identity and compliance checks.
Please note you cannot register your business with Work.Life on Companies House if it hasn’t previously been registered at another address.

Do you carry out AML checks?

Yes, all applications will require AML checks. Most applications are reviewed digitally and completed quickly. If we need additional documentation, verification may take longer.

What checks do you perform?

We verify identity, business ownership and control, and screen applicants against sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEP) databases and other compliance sources where required.

How does payment work?

To submit your application, you’ll pay a one-off £50 non-refundable compliance fee by card to cover the required AML/KYC verification checks. Once your application has been approved, your chosen virtual office plan will be activated and payment will be collected by Direct Debit, either monthly or annually depending on the billing option you selected.

What is a Politically Exposed Person (PEP)?

A PEP is someone who holds, or has recently held, a prominent public position, such as a government minister, senior judge or ambassador. Additional checks may be required if a business owner or director is a PEP.

What happens if my application can’t be verified?

If we’re unable to complete the required identity and compliance checks, despite additional information being received, we won’t be able to provide virtual office or registered office services.

Why do you need information about company directors or owners?

UK regulations require us to verify the individuals who own or control a business. This helps prevent fraud, money laundering and misuse of business addresses.

What if my company has multiple shareholders?

We may need to verify shareholders or beneficial owners who hold significant ownership or control of the business, typically those with more than 25% ownership.

How long does verification take?

Most applications are reviewed digitally and completed quickly. If we need additional documentation, verification may take longer.

Can I start using my address immediately after purchase?

Your address will become active once the required identity and compliance checks have been completed successfully.

What ID do I need at signup?

Standard AML/KYC: government photo ID + proof of address. Most members are approved within 24 hours.

Will I need to provide additional documents?

Sometimes. Depending on your company structure or risk profile, we may request supporting documents such as incorporation documents, shareholder information or proof of ownership.

Is there a contract?

Monthly rolling, or annual with 10% off. Cancel any month with 30 days notice.

Do I need a UK company to use a virtual office?

Yes. Virtual office services are available to UK-registered businesses, subject to successful completion of our identity and compliance checks.

Do you accept packages?

No. We cannot accept parcels, packages or courier deliveries. Any packages sent to your virtual office address may be refused and returned to the sender.

Can I choose how my mail is handled?

Yes, if you have a Virtual Office or Virtual Office Hybrid plan. By default, your mail will be held securely for collection or forwarding (where applicable). If you would prefer your mail to be securely shredded instead, you can change this preference at any time in your member portal.

Please note: If you have a Virtual Address plan, your mail will simply be held for collection. The shredding preference is only available on Virtual Office and Virtual Office Hybrid plans.

Why is regional pricing lower?

Reading and Manchester run at roughly 50% of Prime London pricing. Our wider London locations (Holborn, Camden, Old Street and others) sit about 15% below Prime. The plan and workspace bundle are identical across regions.

Can I register multiple businesses?

Not currently. Each virtual office plan is linked to a single business. Support for multiple businesses is coming soon.

How does the workspace credit work?

Each tier includes either a discount or a monthly credit you can spend on day passes, hot desks or meeting rooms.

Can I switch tiers later?

Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from your dashboard.
