At Work.Life, our spaces are more than just places to work—they’re thoughtfully designed environments that prioritise both functionality and community. We’re bringing that to life in Farringdon, St Cross Street, with an environment that from the moment members walk in, is supportive, inspiring, and community led.
One of the first things you’ll notice upon entering St Cross Street is the kitchen. Why? Because the kitchen is the heart of any home, and we wanted to bring that same warmth to our space. It’s where connections happen naturally, whether over a coffee or a quick chat between meetings.
Plus, the kitchen is where our membership team sits. The idea here is simple: you’re welcomed right into the community. Our team isn’t secluded in an office, they’re front and centre, ready to assist or just say hello. We believe in creating spaces where people feel an instant sense of belonging, and placing our team at the core of the space helps establish that immediately.
Practicality is woven into the very layout of St Cross Street. From the way workstations are positioned, to the easily accessible meeting rooms and the placement of breakout zones, every detail has been considered to enhance productivity.
You should be able to move around the space efficiently, with no disruptions to your day. Plus, we have some new additions to St Cross Street, so we really mean it when we say we’ve got everything under one roof for you; a podcast room, event space, roof terrace and board room with discounted rates for Work.Life members!
Our members aren’t just looking for a place to work—they’re looking for a community to be part of. That’s why the common areas are open, inviting, and filled with flexible seating arrangements that encourage connection.
Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur or part of a larger team, you’ll find that St Cross Street (just like it’s 12 siblings) fosters a sense of togetherness you won’t find anywhere else.
Annie, our project manager for new buildings, has been deeply involved in shaping the St Cross Street space. She shares her thoughts on how the design reflects Work.Life’s values:
“Our goal with St Cross Street was to create a space that feels intuitive, where members can move seamlessly between focus work, collaboration, and community. We prioritised an open, welcoming layout with the kitchen at the centre because it sets the tone for the entire experience. From the moment members walk in, they’re greeted with a sense of warmth, and that’s something we’ve worked hard to achieve in every detail.
We also drew inspiration from the local quirks of Hatton Garden, incorporating subtle nods to the area’s rich history in gemstones and jewellery. From the sparkling accents in the décor to the thoughtful design elements throughout, we wanted the space to reflect the character and charm of its surroundings. It’s more than just a place to work—it’s a workspace with a touch of local magic.”
Every inch of Farringdon, St Cross Street has been designed with purpose. It’s functional, welcoming, and most importantly, a place where members can connect, collaborate, and thrive within a supportive community. We can’t wait to welcome you in!
