Two Boys is a Soho-based graphic design and marketing agency specialising in design, branding, and content. They partner with small and big businesses to turn ideas into bold and effective creative – from brand identities and campaigns to digital and print.
The Challenge
“The thought of just sitting on my own was a bit depressing… being part of Work.Life makes me feel like a bigger business… it gives us the opportunity to grow a culture and a feeling of being much larger than we are.”
Jamie Brown. Creative Director / Founder
Jamie, the founder of Two Boys, knew one thing when he started his business: he couldn’t do it alone from a spare room, working in isolation. He needed more than just a desk; he needed a community that would help his business grow.
Starting a creative agency from scratch came with real challenges:
- Limited support whilst building a new business
- No budget for long leases, deposits, and legal fees
- No ability to create a high-end office environment independently
- Recruitment challenges as a small team
- Limited opportunities for collaboration that would fuel creativity
Jamie needed flexibility, energy, and a community without the high cost risk of a traditional long-term lease.
The Solution
From his very first tour of Work.Life Camden, the value was immediately noticeable. The warmth of the team, conversations with other members, and the atmosphere of a buzzing workspace made the decision to become a member easy. “We just hit it off right from the start, so I signed on the dotted line there and then.”
Fast forward: Two Boys moved from Work.Life Camden to Work.Life Soho, expanding into larger office space over time, and operating in an environment they could never have built independently.
“Being a member of Work.Life is so much more than just a desk and a chair… it is genuinely the community, which has been the biggest and most important part.”
Jamie Brown. Creative Director / Founder
The Results
Over the last 10 years, Work.Life has been instrumental in Two Boys’ growth:
- 15+ client projects generated directly through the Work.Life community
- 6 years delivering design work for Work.Life itself
- Valuable long-term client relationships built within the space
- Vastly improved recruitment and retention
- Stronger collaboration and creativity within the team
- A business that feels larger than its 6-person team
Jamie credits the space not just with enabling business operations, but with supporting financial and creative growth.
From after expanding from one location to another, what has remained consistent is the community.
“The culture and the warmth that I first experienced on my first day ten years ago hasn’t changed… my work life is definitely better being a member of Work.Life because of the people. That’s the magic.”
