Piqniq is a Soho-based start-up media agency founded by partners Mitchell Cocker, Katy Sharpe and Bee Pearson, working with brands including Enteromed, GHD and Hutch Games. In just two years, the agency has grown from three founders working wherever they could find a table to a B Corp-certified team of 14, all based at Work.Life Soho.

Along the way, Piqniq has been named one of Campaign’s ‘Agencies to Watch for 2026’ and won Bronze for Startup Media Agency of the Year at Campaign’s Agency of the Year Awards. The business has grown rapidly, expanding its team, building its reputation and setting its sights on bigger ambitions, all while remaining rooted in its Soho base.

The Challenge: Building a culture with nowhere to build it

For their first 12 months, Piqniq’s founders worked wherever they could find a table, moving between coffee shops, dining tables and whatever space they could make work. It kept the business moving, but it left them without the one thing a growing team needs most: somewhere to actually be together.

As Piqniq took on its first employee and then several more, the absence of a fixed base became harder to ignore. There was nowhere consistent for a new joiner to learn how the team worked or to feel part of it, and no shared environment in which to build a culture just as collaboration was becoming central to the business.

As a B Corp business, Piqniq cared as much about a workspace’s values as its floor plan. The founders wanted somewhere that reflected the kind of business they were building.

The Solution: A workspace that scaled at their pace

Piqniq joined Work.Life Soho in March 2025 on a bank of desks, alongside their first employee. From day one, the team had a professional base to come together, collaborate and bring on new people, without the early hiring momentum stalling while they searched for space.

As the team grew, so did the space Work.Life could offer them. Piqniq moved from shared desks into their own private office, and more recently into a larger office with double the capacity, each step timed to their growth rather than a lease cycle. Because the Work.Life team handles the day-to-day running of the office, from welcoming guests to managing meeting rooms, Piqniq’s founders could stay focused on building the business rather than running a building.

Choosing a B Corp-aligned workspace over a generic provider was a deliberate decision from the start. It meant Piqniq’s own sustainability credentials and values-led culture were supported by a workspace that shared those priorities, giving the team a foundation that felt aligned with the business they were building.

The Results: Growth, culture and headspace to keep building

By choosing a workspace that could grow with them, Piqniq has built a team and a culture side by side:

  • Rapid growth: from three founders working out of coffee shops to a team of 14, expanded through Work.Life’s flexibility rather than being held back by it. Each move happened without pausing the business to search for space.
  • A team that works as one: the shared space and Work.Life’s community have helped turn three founders and a growing headcount into a team that collaborates, connects and feels part of the same business.
  • Structured flexibility that protects wellbeing: three set office days a week, Tuesday to Thursday, give the team focus and time together, while working from home on the other days lets people skip the commute and fit work around their lives. For Piqniq, that balance is a deliberate business priority.
  • Headspace for the founders: with the Work.Life team handling guests, meeting rooms and the day-to-day running of the office, Piqniq’s founders no longer carry that operational weight, freeing them to focus on growing the business.
  • Room to keep growing: Piqniq is already planning for a bigger Work.Life space over the next 6 to 12 months, with room to keep scaling without starting the search somewhere new.

Piqniq’s story shows what a workspace can do when it’s built to grow alongside a business. The team went from three founders and a handful of borrowed tables to a team of 14 with a home they’ve helped shape.

Work.Life have given us the flexibility to grow as we needed. We've grown into our third iteration of office space with them, and they've allowed us to grow with flexibility, in a helpful way. It's been overwhelmingly positive being there.
