Lotty’s been with us under a year but has made quite the impression on our Bermondsey members. Born and bred in Yorkshire (give her a good old Yorkshire brew and a KitKat and she’s happy). She’s a real softy at heart, put a dog or a baby in front of her and she’ll melt into a ball of goo. You will never, we repeat never, see her without a huge smile plastered on her face. We asked her some questions over a cup of Yorkshire brew on our Bermondsey rooftop to get to know her a little bit better…

What were you doing before Work.Life?

Being a creative soul at heart, I selected a somewhat random degree in History of Art and Italian that was undoubtedly enlightening and gave me a year of happily stuffing my face with tagliatelle al ragu and litres of good red wine! However, my taste buds weren’t quite satisfied buying and selling art for a commercial gallery. So, I jumped ship and tested the water with a start-up local high street app and an array of temp jobs to find out my likes and dislikes, until I finally found my feet at Work.Life.

What do you enjoy most about working at Work.Life?

I’m happy to have called Work.Life my work-home for the past 8 months and let there be many more months to come! The best part of my job – getting to know all of our awesome members; sharing knowledge and experiences, having a laugh and genuinely making lasting friendships. Oh, and I can’t forget little Artie – possibly the cutest puppy to have ever walked this earth.

Biggest passion?

The outdoors – can’t beat a sunset stroll along a beautiful beach, a mountain summit view or a few beers in a sunny park!

What would we find you doing on your days off?

I like seeing old friends and trying new things – so I’ll either be having a good old chit chat with my besties (ideally in a foreign country discovering the world) or exploring the highlights that London has to offer. My latest excursions include an aerial hoop class, kayaking down the River Lea, a pottery workshop and endless delicious feasts.

Best thing about coworking…?

The relaxed, fun, super friendly and inspiring atmosphere – couldn’t ask for more!

Tell us a funny story about you OR a random fact about yourself?

Most humiliating moment… at the age of about 6 my brothers took a pair of scissors to my hair as a joke – not a pretty sight!

Favourite thing about your Bermondsey space?

Beer and Pizza (+g&ts) on the rooftop in the sunshine with our lovely members!

Fave Bermondsey spot?

Splashing out with Vietnamese Fridays at Caphe House

Best place you’ve been on holiday?

Beaches, temples, noodles, wonderful people, rice paddies, sunsets, scuba diving… Bali 100% my favourite holiday to date.

Last meal before being shipped off to a desert island?

As a food lover this is the hardest question of all – I’m a sucker for home comforts, so a full-on Sunday roast cooked by my mama has gotta be up there.

Quick fire round:

Morning person or night owl? Morning person 85% of the time
Favourite film: Searching for Sugarman
Summer or winter? Summer!
Sweet or savoury? Bit of both
Cats or dogs? dogs
City break or beach holiday? Love them all!!!
Netflix n chill or country walk? I’m a countryside lover
